What is POW! ?
The group known as Progressives of Washtenaw (POW!) began to meet in the fall of 2004 in the wake of the re-election of George W. Bush to develop a plan to increase the influence of progressives in the local community. Through these meetings, POW!, a political action committee dedicated to recruiting, advising and supporting progressive candidates and supporting progressive ballot initiatives was developed. POW! is an all volunteer organization.
